PORT FAIRY BELFAST LIONS CLUB INC - CLUB PROJECTS

Lions is a community service organisation! People join Lions because they want to use their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done. In the past 12 months we have raised money for the South West Bushfire victims and BlazeAid, the Seeing Dogs appeal, Lions Hearing Dogs, the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea, Moyne Health and many other individuals and small charities. In addition our Lions Assist program has undertaken to provide assistance to members of the local community who need a helping hand.

Currently our major projects are:

                       New Youth of The Year Logo

Lions Youth of the Year is designed to encourage, foster and develop leadership in conjunction with other citizenship qualities in our youth, at the age when they are about to enter the fields of employment or higher education, and provides students with the incentive to pay greater attention to the general qualities, so vital in developing our youths into first class citizens.

Details of when and where we will be holding our Youth of the Year interviews and presentations are below:

Date:            Interviews 19 August 2018, Imprompu questions and prepared speeches on 22 August

Time:          Interview will commence from 9am - entrants will be individually advised of the time of their interview. Times for the 22 August will be published shortly.

DEFIBRILLATOR PROJECT

Some of our members are currently working with Moyne Health Services to develop a map showing the locations of Defibrillators in the town. Once all the data has been collected and the map prepared, this will be made available to the public.

ART ENTRIES - Maximum of five any medium.    Entry Fee  $8.00 per entry

Paintings to be received no later than 12 December 2018. Please note that the Visitors' Centre in Port Fairy is unable to accept delivery of paintings this year. Please phone 0409 527 925 to arrange a time and point of pick up.
